Bonjour! Good Day! And it can be if you have the opportunity to travel the Wine Route of Quebec (
La Route des Vins of Quebec). It is only a two and a half hour drive from Burlington, Vermont or an hour from Montreal for you to be in the "coeur" (heart) of the Quebec Wine Route. Where food and wine are served with a French Flair, you'll feel like your flight was diverted to France. You'll love the bucolic country roads and restaurants and towns to visit along the way.

And if all you thought that was produced here were sweet "Ice" wines, you would be mistaken. There are plenty of styles and options to please all palettes. With over 20 vineyards to visit, you could stay here for a week and visit at least 3 a day.
We stopped in to visit the Vignoble Domaine de l'Ardennais and had a wonderful time learning about the challenges of making wine in the region. Due to the extreme cold, they must cover up the vines during the winter to protect them. This year it was late May before they started to see buds on many of their varieties. And while the busy season for most vineyards starts in Mid-June, there are still many open and providing wine flights right now.
