As you may have seen in the last posting on June 6, The Quebec Wine Route has over a couple dozen wineries just an hour's drive from downtown Montreal.  





We were impressed with Côtes d'Ardoise  wines and the destination's total experience.   Our friendly English speaking host told us of their history and deftly explained the trials and tribulations of Quebec's climate challenges for wine production.  First planted in 1981 and then granted operating permits in 1985, history runs deep in their vineyard.

Some say that making wine is an art, and that's what their General Manager strives to create for their guests - a spectrum of Artisan wines.  Barbara Jimenez Herrero is from Argentina and has brought her skills to Côtes d'Ardoise wines in 2014.  So you may hear French, English, and Spanish as you walk through their vineyards.

Speaking of walking through their vineyards, this summer you can enjoy the artistry of over 90 artists and admire over 150 outdoor sculptures at their vineyard.  Some of the installations have already been placed, but more are coming almost every day.
